Standards as a point of integration of GIS and SDI

The phenomenon of integration of Geographic Information Systems - GIS with Spatial Data Infrastructures - SDI is a result of the new vision of the market for geographic information and a paradigm shift in the basic supply of spatial data to geographic information services, enabling user interaction with data, metadata, services and geographical type information from different sources, providing all potential users of the location, identification, selection and access to such resources to meet their integration needs, coverage, spatial reference, consistency, security and cost savings with the conditions of search technologies and access to them.
Data infrastructure to declare an instance from which you can access to official information and thematic core, is about a change of mentality of the business, methodology and results, enabling a new productive processes, distributional and consumption, which the hand of the globalization movement as a social and cultural change has revolutionized the concept of geographic information management deals with both the IDE.
This integration happens when you’ve outgrown the IDE were definition, determination and development of its basic components, has established the organizational integration levels in public, private, academic and social is conceived not only as an establishment based on geographic data but as a set of services, managing the interest and usefulness in their response. These services and benefits only comply with the pillars of interoperability and collaboration with the adoption and implementation of standards and technologies to ensure access to customer information to light and heavy.
