Within the missional processes established in the Agustin Codazzi Geographic Institute (IGAC), the institutional goals are outlined for the development of science and technology, these goals allows visualize its character, the flow of processes and the interactions between different institutional actors that make up the IGAC research system, as well as the relations with the external environment. This structure defines and assigns the work of the Research and Development in Geographic Information Centre (CIAF) and its various internal working groups (GIT) and particularly the Group Knowledge Management as an integrator of the activity of scientific and technological research institutional.
