Variables obtenidas a partir de sensores remotos para el estudio y monitoreo del cambio climático global

El presente documento corresponde a la revisión de variables que son obtenidas a partir de sensores remotos y que son determinantes en el estudio y monitoreo del cambio climático. Dentro de los grupos líderes de cambio climático, existen unos subgrupos como el Sistema Global de Observación Terrestre (Global Terrestrial Observing System, GTOS), que en su plan de implementación ha identificado trece Variables Climáticas Esenciales (Essential Climate Variables, ECV) para ser abordadas a través de los grupos de observación de la Tierra existentes en el mundo. En el presente documento se muestra la revisión de las variables obtenidas a partir de sensores remotos como parte de la estrategia de implementación de datos para el estudio y monitoreo del cambio climático global.
